Daily Dose of the Davidsons: My Little Eve is HALF a year old!

My little {big} baby is now six months old!
I really need to get better at writing in this blog and keeping it updated but Eve has me running around like a crazy person now. This past month she has mastered the art of sitting up on her own,eating her first food {sweet potatoes}, and crawling. The crawling is not very fast yet but it still gets her in to trouble and usually ends up somewhere with a dog toy or bone. Today we went for her six month check up and Eve is already 18 pounds and 27inches long. I knew she was going to be big but guess i was not ready to hear THAT big! She still continues to make tons of noise and babbles away {wonder who she got that from?ha} She is so busy now that her sleep has even changed and now she is impossible to put down at night! She even rolls over and tries crawling in her crib at 3am sometimes, its really fun.
First about the food situation!
So i skipped rice cereal all together because i really did not see a need for it. My doctor kept trying to get me to do so but i knew exactly what i wanted to do with Eve and she is such a chunk, i went with my gut on this one. So the first thing i tried with her was sweet potatoes and i just mashed them up, she was not a huge fan but enough to try it. While i was out shopping at target some mom was raving about Ellas organic baby food and i thought i would try it out. HATED IT.

So my next try was peaches i boiled and just made it so she could hold the soft peach and chew on it by herself...Finally something she actually ATE and i did not have to sit and feed her with a spoon! So i let her make a mess and watched her go crazy with the peach slices.

Our other big accomplishment is crawling. My mom said i was an early walker {8 months} so i was anxious to see how Eve would be. She was just scooting around and such but she finally got the strength to put her knees under her butt and crawl like a big girl, the day she turned 6 months! It actually is fun because now i feel like we can play on the floor and she can get worn out alot quicker.

As for sleeping, that will be a post in itself!

You are only ticklish around your neck and i will tickle you at least three times a day because i am OBSESSED with your baby laugh. We still try to skype daddy at least once a week and he always gets a big smile on his face when you come into the screen and says "hi little baby Eve, you are so big now" I can tell by his expression he just wants to jump through the screen and give you a big hug and kiss. We may get to have him home the BEGINNING of June, which would be huge because then he will be home for his birthday and fathers day! I will not hold my breathe but i am hopeful this will happen.

Now i can NOT get over how much you have changed. Just look!
