I need to really get better at this whole blogging thing but now that i have found some time {baby Eve nap time} to catch up sporadically, here we go!
For a first time momma you always ask the OB, What will a real contraction feel like? How will i know i am in labor? What if i do not make it to the hospital in time? And the response was always the same, YOU WILL KNOW. Boy oh boy did i know, the first contraction brought me to my KNEES!
Monday, May 28th at around 10pm you decided it was time to start making your way. The funny thing is i was chatting with a friend due May 25th about how cursed we are and will both have LATE late babies. {more later, but we were both wrong. Landon and you must of chatted in the womb}. Mommy decided on tuesday morning we needed to go to the hospital but i showed up and was sent home on pain medicine because i was not dilated enough to be admitted. Finally after 7 more hours of sitting at home getting sick and crying all day, daddy decided we were going back! Luckily gramma & poppy arrived from Houston that afternoon too! I think you just were waiting for everyone to get here before you decided to arrive. So back at the hospital they hooked me up to the monitor and still only 2cm dilated and had to be a FOUR to be admitted, so she suggested i walk around for two hours on having contractions every 3 minutes. {yeah RIGHT!} I was in tears for two hours in public and finally my family had enough and daddy was going to take me to a different hospital. BUT we went back and you did it, got us to 4cm..how? i have no idea because i probably walked 15ft total in 2 hours.
Life was good then, i got the epidural around 9pm and then finally was able to stop crying. Around 1245am they decided to speed things up by breaking my water and mommy was so anxious to meet you that we went along with it. Everyone had no idea how fast you would show up after doing so, 206am after 20minutes of pushing, you were HERE

The single most beautiful moment in my entire life when i held you and looked at you for the first time. You stole my heart! You came out SCREAMING and a perfect pink skin color, i was so happy you were healthy. Daddy held your hand through the entire thing while mommy was getting stitched up.
You are perfect and such a blessing. Mommy and daddy had to stay at the hospital for 48 hours but it turned into more like 58 hours! So much paperwork and daddy had to leave us to go into work for a bit the last day, you can thank Army for that! THEN my favorite day of them all, GOING HOME DAY!
The most hysterical thing was probably gramma and i trying to figure out the car seat. SERIOUSLY, they need instructions but never come with any. I probably could of had you home a whole hour earlier if i knew how to work that thing. So i brought you up to the front and it took about three nurses to get you in there! Once you were in there though, it was lights OUT.
We LOVE you so much baby Eve, you are the sweetest! xoxo
