Eve is growing like crazy!

Lots of little happenings have been going on around here. Eve is awake more often, so catching up with this blog is a lot harder than i imagined. For some reason i thought she would sleep MORE while growing but she seems to sleep LESS. Anyways on to other things with our little family. I think the dogs are going through a hard time, they LOVE baby Eve but they do NOT love the little to no attention now that my time is consumed. Pluto is now peeing on the carpet {if i needed more to clean up around here} and Mac BARKS and BARKS at the most inconvienent time, like when the baby is sleeping! I think i have already lost my mind but i would not trade all the crazies i live with for the world.

No one tells you {well they do but you do not listen} that your relationship with your husband kind of takes a back seat when the new baby comes. I love my troy but he use to get ALL my attention and now with the baby, he pretty much has to remind me.. HONEY I AM HERE TOO. I feel bad but i can only be stretched so many ways and i pour my love and energy into Eve all day that when Troy gets home i more or less am ready for bed! We have our fights and we have our I WILL JUST TAKE CARE OF THE BABY MYSELF moments {if you do not have these, you are a liar!} but in all seriousness i love him more than i did before Eve came. He probably would read this and laugh, no way or doesnt seem like it but it is true. I know people say "take a date night" or "do something with just eachother" i think those things are easier when you have family around who are whilling to watch a  newborn baby for 2 hours, we are not ready for the babysitter mode! We keep telling eachother, it will get better and it already has but i know troy is looking forward to Eve needing him more. He always tells me "i cant wait until she is at least crawling". We will see if he is still saying that when she is crawling ha!

Dad keeps trying to get you to support your own head, he is so ready!

You turn 6 weeks old on wed. and your Aunt Miranda is coming all the way from Seattle,Washington to love on you in a few days! {not sure who is more excited, probably mommy because that means extra hands}. You are one DIVA miss Davidson, you constantly have everyoen cracking up because you are so serious and STILL have not smiled. I wish i could brag and tell everyone you are just a smiley baby but you are far from. Daddy said you smiled at him once but when i came over you gave me your typical "what women?" look. Everyone already tells us we are going to have our hands FULL with you if the attitude has set in this early. We have done lots of little outings with people and meet ups for lunch/dinner, tons of Target runs,and avoiding outside as much as possible with these HOT hot days. One HUGE thing is we took you swimming at one month old, we just could not wait anymore. Daddy really wanted to take you and he finally got me to say okay, so off we went to the pool. You looked so cute in your little swim suit and instead of taking things slow dad grabbed you and got right in, put your whole body in the water and you freaked. I talked him into sitting on the steps and just having your legs in and you LOVED that. After a small amount of time we headed back inside to wash off the chlorine and feed your big belly. You are putting on the pounds like crazy now or maybe i just am in shock at how much you like to eat. You have the cutest double chin in the world and although daddy makes fun of it, i think it is so adorable. Since you do not have the chubby cheeks i guess its the little fat that i love! Your hair is growing like crazy, i promise we will have you in pony tails before you are five months old, i can already clip in small bows. You still are great with sleeping in your crib and i am so thankful for that!


Next BIG adventure is Miranda coming and then Baby Eve and i on our first roadtrip with gramma to Houston for the month of August!
